  2. Q : Why the people in Britain ate pancake on Shrove Tuesday? Before the period of ‘Lent’ People needed to use up all the fat ingredients such as sugar, butter, eggs and so on. And people wanted to enjoy those fat foods because those foods were forbidden during Lent. Pancake contains those fat ingredients in it. So people enjoyed pancake on Shrove Tuesday.
