  1. Football Teams By Erick Jimenez

  2. Information about football • American football is a sport played between two teams of eleven with the objective of scoring points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone. Known in the United States simply as football, it may also be referred to informally as gridiron.12 The ball can be advanced by running with it or throwing it to a teammate. Points can be scored by carrying the ball over the opponent's goal line, catching a pass thrown over that goal line, kicking the ball through the opponent's goal posts or tackling an opposing ball carrier in his own end zone. • In the United States, the major forms are high school football, college football and professional football. Each of these are played under slightly different rules.3 High school football is governed by the National Federation of State High School Associations and college football by the National Collegiate Athletic Association and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The major league for professional football is the National Football League. • American football is closely related to Canadian football but with some differences in rules and the field.4 Both sports can be traced to early versions of association football and rugby football.

  3. What do the defense and offense do • From center to quarterback to wide receiver, About Football defines each position on the offensive side of the ball. For defense the players try to take the ball away from the offense.

  4. A famous person from the N.F.L • STEVE McNAIR: 1973-2009 • Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was found dead July 4, 2009, at age 36. He was fatally shot by a girlfriend in a murder-suicide, according to police. NEWS • McNair anti-suicide PSA: 'Live to see better days' • Two sons file claims to estate • Ex-con pleads guilty to gun sale • Future cloudy for McNair foundation • McNair BAC over limit • Felon charged for selling gun • McNair leaves no will; wife to oversee estate • McNair's funeral draws thousands • Fans line up to pay respects • McNair's girlfriend was troubled • McNair taped suicide prevention message • Officer says McNair angry with girlfriend • Police: Shooting ruled a murder-suicide • Friend: McNairs were not divorcing • Autopsy: McNair's death a homicide • Former MVP McNair found dead • Titans remember McNair's toughness • What they're saying about McNair

  5. Information about STEVE McNAIR • Stephen LaTreal McNair (February 14, 1973 – July 4, 2009)1 (Nicknamed Air McNair)23 was an American footballquarterback who spent the majority of his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans.4 • McNair played college football at Alcorn State in Lorman, Mississippi, where he won the 1994 Walter Payton Award as the top player in NCAA Division I-AA. He was drafted third overall by the NFL's Houston Oilers in 1995, becoming the Oilers' regular starting quarterback in 1997, their first season in Tennessee (though he started six games over the prior two seasons in Houston), and remained the starting quarterback for the Titans through 2005. After the 2005 season, McNair was traded to the Baltimore Ravens, with whom he played for two seasons before retiring after thirteen NFL seasons.5 • McNair led the Titans to the playoffs four times, and the Ravens once, and played in Super Bowl XXXIV with the Titans. He is the Titans' all-time leading passer. McNair was selected to the Pro Bowl three times, was All-Pro and Co-MVP in 2003, all as a Titan.6 • McNair died on July 4, 2009, when his mistress, Sahel Kazemi, shot and killed him before turning the gun on herself

  6. How much money do the football teams get when wining a Super Bowl • NFL players, who win the championship, actually make more if you factor it out on a per game basis than baseball players did this year. • Let’s take a Jets or Packers player for example, who each played an extra game because they played in the Wildcard. They made $19,000 each for the Wildcard game, $21,000 each for winning the games to win the World Series, so they received $19,852 per game.

  7. Conclusion • I think that football is a very, very, good sport. I think this sport should be played offen.
