March 21st • Back on that Springboard grind: get your books, sit with table groups • Read Learning Focus on page 275 • With your table groups, complete the charts for each character on pages 276-278 • Assign each person one of the categories of: 1. Tragedy, 2. Greek Theater, 3. Sophocles, 4. Antigone & her Family background from pages 279-281. • In new groups, create a poster with all the information to take back to your table. • Today’s objectives • Apply concepts of justice to a new text • Infer motives of characters and predict events of plot • Choose reading strategies for difficult text

March 27th • Complete the chart on page 285 based on the reading from pages 287-297. • Pick one of the characters from the chart and use the information to create an imaginary action figure for that character (be sure to name them). • Your action figure must have three features (things the toy can do) and three accessories (small items that come with the toy) • Include a small advertisement for your action figure and accompany action “vehicle.” • Use the template or draw your own. Use color and cover whole page. • Due at the end of class. • You know the classroom expectations. Be amazing. *This is an example for Sir Lancelot from Arthurian Ledged

Vellum paper will be collected after 10 minutes. • Antigone test –all tests must be complete and turned in by the end of class. • Today’s objectives • Analyze the function of the Chorus in a Greek tragedy • Identify beliefs about issues of justice
