  1. IEEE Southeastern Conference 2013 Robotics Competition Kyle Desrosier, Project Manager

  2. Conference Overview • IEEE Southeastern Conference 2013 • Region 3 (SE USA) • Technical Conference • Professionals and Students • Student Competitions (Hardware, Software, Paper, Ethics) • To go you must be an active member of FIT-IEEE • Jacksonville, FL • April 4 – 7, 2013 • Conference Homepage

  3. Competition Overview • Student Hardware Competition • Robotics competition • Must sort cargo based off length and color • Length → zone, color → spot in zone • Cargo has 6 colors and 3 lengths • Simulates autonomy at a logistics port

  4. Competition Course

  5. Task Description Identify cargo as an object Identify color of cargo Identify length of cargo 2” 4” 3” Move to Air Loading Zone Move to Sea Loading Zone Move to Rail Loading Zone Identify color of loading zone cell and place cargo

  6. Task Allocation • Utilize teamwork to maximize efficiency • Cooperative Logistics Robots (CLR) • CLR-A: • Record cell colors of sea and rail loading zones • CLR-B: • ID cargo as objects, record their colors and sizes, move to loading zones

  7. Task Allocation: CLR-A
