  4. Building Access Procedures In order to maintain a safe and secure workplace at the KCTCS System Office, it is necessary that we know who is in the building therefore: • All employees must have their Building Access Badge visibly displayed while in the building. • All visitors must visibly display their visitor badge and be escorted by a System Office employee at all times.

  5. Building Access Procedures Beginning January 26, 2009… • Everyone will be required to wear Building Access Badges at all times. • The receptionists will NOT admit employees to the secure area using the remote entry button. • Employees without a badge will be required to call their supervisor from the House Phone to gain entry to the secure area. • When an employee’s access is suspended, the receptionists and security guards will be notified that the employee is not to be allowed entry into the secure area at any time.

  6. Building Security Alert Procedures When a legitimate security threat (Internal or External) at the System Office is identified, controlling access to the secure area is vitally important. • A “Building Security Alert” will be announced via email, plasma screens and signage on entrances/exits. • All employees will be asked to be cautious and vigilant while the “Building Security Alert” is in effect. • Absolutely no tailgating!
