  2. RACE DAY: Saturday, April 27, 2013 • Where: Esplanade At Locust Point, • Downers Grove Illinois • 2500 Parking spots in the parking garage • Event area: Race beginning in the parking lot of the 1901 Butterfield Road • When: 9AM The Human Race begins

  3. Organization Registration • Registration for agencies is scheduled to open on December 1, 2012 • Getting involved will be easy. Just visit www.givingdupage.org to find the link or go directly to www.dupagehumanrace.org • There is a flat fee per agency to participate in the Human Race.

  4. Registration • Early registration will be open though February 10, 2013 • $50.00 • Registration after February 10, 2013 • $75.00 • Organizations should use the online payment method or call 630-407-6458 to make other arrangements

  5. Race Registration • Race registration for participants opens January 1, 2013 • Participants choose which organization receives a portion of their registration.

  6. Race Registration Fee Info • We are working with active.com • Online Registration • $30 Walkers • $35 Runners • Online registration closes on April 23, 2013. • Off line • $35 Walkers • $40 Runners • Race Day registration is $40/$45 for both walkers and runners

  7. Fundraising • Anyone can fundraise for a participating organization/program • Race participants • Non-racers • Non-racers can use offline pledge forms which will be available through Giving DuPage or online at dupagehumanrace.org • All money including pledge forms must be turned in to Giving DuPage no later than May 8 to qualify for prizes

  8. Fundraising Online • An online fundraising tool is available for Race agencies • Agencies can forward invites via the online tool or email their supporters and race participants: • Donate to their cause • Create a fundraising page to support the agency’s cause

  9. Percentages • Race registrations: • 60% to organization • 40% to Giving DuPage • Fundraising(to meet the following amounts organizations can include 100% of their race registrations) • Under $3000 raised: receive 75% of all fundraising dollars, plus 60% of race registration • $3000 to $4999 raised: receive 80% of all fundraising, plus 60% of race registrations • $5000 to $10000: receive 85% of all fundraising dollars plus 60% of race registrations • Over $10000: receive 90% of all fundraising dollar, plus 60% of race registrations

Example of percentages • Organization • 100 runners = $3500 minus $3.25 X100=$3175 • $3000 in fundraising • This organization would be at the $5000 to $10000 level and receive 85% of $3000 and 60% of $3175 totaling: $4455 (minus the online fundraising fees which are 6.5% plus $1 per transaction - may seem high but it pays for the tracking, transaction and online fundraising tool)

  11. 2013 Prizes • $500 to the top fundraising organization • $250 to the top fundraising individual’s choice organization • $150 to the organization with the most fundraisers • $100 to the organization with the most race participants

  12. Packet Pickup • Early Packet pick-up and registration: • Packet pick up will be at New Balance Chicago in Oak Brook Terrace • Location of the second day of packet pick up may vary. Planning on Thursday, 4/25 and Friday, 4/26 with specific hours to be determined. • Day of Race Registration: 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.

Branding • Regarding the official Human Race logo. • Make sure to include this logo on all Race materials. • Organization promotional items do not need the Race logo and website • Promotional items are generally items to wear or use (pens, etc.) If you are in doubt contact Kathy at 630-407-6458.

  14. Sponsorships • We encourage your organization to obtain sponsorships to increase your funding resources. Please follow these requirements: • Percentages apply to all sponsorships associated with the Human Race • All Human Race sponsorships need to be reported to Giving DuPage. Failure to disclose will prevent your organization from participating next year and may affect your pay-out amount. • Organization’s sponsors do not have the right to utilize the Human Race logo (only Giving DuPage’s official Race sponsors). • Organization sponsors may be listed on any organization’s promotional items such as t-shirts, hats, etc.
