  1. JLIP status with p14 Daniel Bloch, Benoit Clément, Denis Gelé, Sébastien Greder, Isabelle Ripp-Baudot (IReS Strasbourg) • new ptrel templates • MC efficiency • muon-in-jet data efficiency Remark: still use the JLIP taggability criteria here (for the last time hopefully) : with 2 tracks of pt0.5GeV among our smt/cft track categories D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  2. ptrel templates • new p14.03 sample from Lars: id# 8410: 52500 Zb(c)mu with pt(mu)>4GeV id# 8411: 61000 Zcmu with pt(mu)>4GeV • already twice more MC data than with p13.08, another factor 2-3 to come • ptrel fits: use now the templates histograms themselves (no more parametrised functions) and perform a binnned log-likelihood fit (with Poisson statistics) D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  3. p14.03 ptrel templates light c b on krutenau-clued0 ~bloch/ptrel/ptrel_p1403… 15<pt(jet)<35 light: tracks in jet trig data c and b: from Z MC . 35<pt(jet)<55 3 * 9 templates: 15< pt(jet)<35 35<pt(jet)<55 pt(jet)>55 4<pt(mu)<66<pt(mu)<10pt(mu)>10 pt(jet)>55 D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  4. Compare old (blue) / new (red) templates Zb(c)muZcmu D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  5. MC efficiency Same efficiency in p14 and p13 (but note that the impact parameter resolution functions of JLIP are not yet calibrated for p14 MC: wait for 200k still running QCD events…) D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  6. ptrel fits on p14 data blabla blabla Use 1M muon-in-jets p1403 data with pt(mu)>4 total light c b Fit and compute b-tag efficiencies in 9 pt(jet) x pt(mu) bins, Then compute a weighted average single tag efficiency = tagged muon-in-jets / taggable muon-in-jets double tag efficiency = idem if tagged opposite jet D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  7. ptrel fits (cont) caution: don’t use the bin 15<pt(jet)<25 4<pt(mu)<6 for single tag fits (but for double tags it is ok) fit problem (bad light template ?) D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  8. ptrel fits (cont) ptrel fits (cont) : single tag pt(jet)>55 4<pt(mu)<6 no tag Prob<0.01 6<pt(mu)<10 no tag Prob<0.01 Prob<0.01 pt(mu)>10 no tag D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  9. Efficiency on p14 data if JLIP cut: Prob < 0.01 D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)

  10. Summary • Still waiting for more p14 Z and QCD MC • Will use asap: - new taggability - 2-pass primary vertex - CSIP Vº rejection • Will provide p14 efficiencies and mistags D. Bloch (IReS Strasbourg)
