  2. So far we have: • Compared and contrasted elements • Identified common themes • Diagramed plot • Developed characters

  3. Objective: • Synthesize multiple sources to construct a creation narrative • Minimum of 5 paragraphs • Minimum of 6 creation themes

  4. Where were the common themes?

  5. Prompts: • Option 1: Write a creation story that narrates and describes the beginning of the world from the viewpoint of a specific subculture (i.e. school: jocks, Hallsville, occupation: farmer, hobbies: football, music, art…) • Option 2: explain how the world was really created.

  6. To Do: Brainstorm • Get out all of your notes and stories we’ve discussed thus far • Review: what are the common elements? • What is my objective?

  7. Activity: 5 minutes • Using one of the brain storm methods we discussed, brainstorm how you might construct an essay detailing the creation of the world

  8. For 5 minutes: • Brainstorm how you might construct an essay from the viewpoint of a subculture • What group would you use? • How might the creation elements be changed to represent their beliefs?

  9. Homework: • Choose which prompt you will use • If you choose the subculture prompt, you must have two at the most subcultures to potentially write about
