Who is World Vision? • World’s largest relief and development organisation. • Served over 100 million people in 98 countries in 2007. • 3.4 million children are offered a new future through child sponsorship worldwide in 2007. • It fights poverty and injustice. • It partners with corporations, private and public donors to provide education, health care, food, water, micro credits to poor communities. • Children at its forefront!

World Vision in BiH? • Operational in BiH since 1994. • WV’s in core programming in BiH is focused on the following goals: • To build healthy, functioning communities. • Long-term development with communities through our sponsorship-funded Area Development Programmes (ADP). • To diminish poverty, addressing its causes rather than its effects, and by balancing growth with equity. • Our Micro-credit organisation, EKI, is foremost in our struggle against economic poverty.  • To have marginalised and vulnerable groups realise the full benefit of community resources and quality social services. • We made the Roma, the most marginalised ethnic group,  a priority, building strong relationships and projects with them.
