MA CAREER CENTERS • The Career Centers are the cornerstone of the MA Workforce Investment System • Chartered by employer-driven Workforce Investment Boards • The goals of a Career Center is to integrate systems to: • Better leverage resources and manage labor market cycles • Better meet the needs of diverse populations • Better prepare workers to meet the needs of local businesses

JOBS FOR VETERANS STATE GRANT (JVSG) Funded by U.S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Services (DOL/VETS) • Enables the Commonwealth to fund the positions of Local Veterans’ Employment Representative (LVER) or (LV) and Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) or (DV) • DVs and LVs are on-site at most Career Centers.

  6. PRIORITY OF SERVICES The MA Workforce Development System honors veterans and eligible spouses as our “Heroes at Home” by implementing “Priority of Services” to our Veteran customers.

  7. RESULTS Fiscal Year 2012 July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012 • 196,600 Job Seekers Served • 12,844 Employers Served • 11,683 Veterans Served Fiscal Year 2013 July 1, 2012 – November 30, 2012 • 142,802 Job Seekers Served • 6,204 Employers Served • 8,649 Veterans Served
