  16. 3. NNPC/Addax Scholarship for 100L • The company, Addax Petroleum Development (Nig) Limited, offers the National Merit Tertiary Institutions Scholarship Awards Scheme for undergraduate students in Nigeria. • Worth: N100,000 4. NLNG Scholarship For 100 Level • The Nigeria LNG Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme, launched in October 2012, is an overseas programme aimed at supporting the emergence of indigenous experts, professionals or entrepreneurs especially; but not exclusively, within the oil and gas industry. • Worth: N150,000

  17. 5. SPDC (Shell) Scholarship For 100 Level • The University Scholarship Scheme, a programme run by SPDC on behalf of the NNPC/Shell/Elf/Agip Joint Venture, makes a quiet but very profound commentary on the company’s interest in the promotion of capacity building in the country. • Worth:N75,000 6. PTDF Scholarship For 200 Level • The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources established by Decree 25 of 1973 with a mandate to train Nigerians towards active participation in the Oil and Gas Industry. PTDF has over the years awarded postgraduate scholarships in Oil and Gas courses. • Worth: N150,000 Plus Laptop during first payment.

  18. 7. MTN Foundation Scholarship For 200 Level • The MTN Foundation Science & Technology Scholarship Scheme is for full time second year students studying in public tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics and colleges of education) in Nigeria. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who may be unable to pay for their tertiary education and aims to recognize and reward academic excellence. • Worth: N200,000

  19. 8. Federal Government Scholarship Award For 200/300/400 Levels • The Federal Government of Nigeriathrough the Federal Ministry of Educationthrough the Federal Scholarship Board is offering the Bilateral Educational Agreement (BEA) Oversea Scholarshipsto Nigerian undergraduate, masters and doctoral students. • The BEA Awards are scholarship awards made to eligible Nigerian youths after due process by development partners who have entered into Bilateral Educational agreement with Nigeria. Nigeria equally offers reciprocal awards to citizens of the following Bilateral Education Agreement countries: China, Romania, and Cuba.

  20. Eligibility (A). Undergraduate Scholarship • All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of Five (5) Distinctions (As & Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificate, WAEC or NECO (May/June) only in the subjects relevant to their field of study including English language and Mathematics. • Certificates should not be more than Two (2) years old • Age limit is 22 years (minimum age of 18years and maximum 22 years old at the time of taking up the award).

Postgraduate Scholarship • All applicants must hold a First Degree with at least 2nd Class Upper Division. • The applicants who are previous recipients of Foreign Awards must have completed at least Two (2) years post qualification or employment practice in Nigeria. • A knowledge of the Foreign language of the donor country is desired particularly for those applying for Russian Award. • All applicants must have completed NYSCE. • Age limit is 35 years for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D. • Worth:N150,000

Procedures for application • Search for the program of interest • Have a brief knowledge of research interest • Contact a potential faculty advisor usually via e-mail • Plan to write requisite tests (GRE/GMAT/TOEFL) before the deadline • Officially apply: Get competent people to write referee report.
