Stringwell Memorial Scholarship • Butch Warren Memorial Scholarship • Richard Weldon Memorial Scholarship • Bryan J. Westfield Scholarship – Nomination Form • AAACF Community Scholarship

Tips for Scholarship Applicants: • Plan to spend about 5 minutes completing the pre-qualifying questions to determine which scholarships they are eligible for • Review the sample paper application prior to beginning the official online application • Contact your reference(s) now to request letter(s) of recommendation. Give your reference(s) a specific date when the letter needs to be completed by • Contact your Guidance Counselor as soon as you have begun your online scholarship application to request an official transcript. Follow-up with your counselor again when you have completed the application • Set aside 20-30 minutes to complete the online scholarship application • Write down your login and password in a safe and accessible place • Check your email often for updates, reminders, additional information about required and missing application components • Don’t wait until the last minute to apply. Applications can be submitted and completed at any time until the deadline on March 15th • Contact your Guidance Counselor, talk to your parents/guardians or call AAACF if you need additional help

AAACF Community Scholarship • Provides need-based scholarship awards to increase post-secondary degree attainment for Washtenaw County students • Number of Available Awards: 10 • Scholarship Criteria: • Economically disadvantaged (currently qualifies for the free or reduced lunch program), youth of color, OR first generation in your family to graduate with a 4-year degree • Resident of Washtenaw County, with preference given to graduates of a Washtenaw County public high school • Will be or are a high school graduate within the last 24 months • Enrolling in college for the first time • Minimum GPA 2.0 • To renew a scholarship, recipient must be enrolled in a college or university, maintain progress towards degree attainment, and submit his/her transcript to AAACF for review each year • Award Amounts: • 2-Year Institution: $1,500 renewable two times • 4-Year Institution: $3,000 renewable four times • All recipients of the AAACF Community Scholarship Fund will have an assigned College Advisor through Washtenaw Futures.
