The new user focused design enhances this dynamic online resource of world-renowned engineering content, and will support all levels of scientific and technical research in the corporate, industrial, government and academic sectors. Focused around 14 major areas of engineering,AccessEngineering features a new taxonomy book view offering comprehensive coverage and faster title-by-title access to our engineering collection in the following subject areas: / Biomedical / Chemical / Civil / Communications / Construction / Electrical / Energy / Environmental / Green/Sustainable / Industrial / Material Science / Mechanical / Nanotechnology / Optical

AccessEngineering offers the complete content from an outstanding collection of McGraw-Hill books, including the latest editions of: ▪Handbook of Optics ▪Marks’ Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers ▪Perry’s Chemical Engineers’ Handbook ▪Radar Handbook ▪Roark’s Formulas for Stress andStrain New titles are added weekly.

Search or browse AccessEngineering The simple search… Key in search term here to “Search All Content” or “Search Dictionary” “Search All Content” searches across the complete contents of more than 250 outstanding McGraw-Hill books. The McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Engineering is embedded on all search pages and includes more than 18,000 entries containing synonyms, acronyms, and abbreviations; a pronunciation guide is included for each term.

  5. SearchingAccessEngineering The simple search… Keyword searches return results with keyword highlighted in context. Clicking on the highlighted page number brings the user directly to the page that the keyword appears on.

  6. SearchingAccessEngineering The advanced search… AccessEngineering features an improved advanced search - an intuitive search platform that ensures fast delivery of accurate and comprehensive results, saving you time and money.

  7. SearchingAccessEngineering The advanced search… Enter keywords or phrases using Boolean operators. Refine searches with Stemming and Proximity parameters. Narrow searches to specific topics.

  8. Browsing by topic Choose from 14 major areas of engineering… Click on any of the 14 major areas of engineering for a compete list of books.

  9. Clicking on a book title presents the user with a list of the book’s chapters, as well as a link to a PDF for each of the chapters in the book.

  10. Clicking on an individual chapter link provides the user with the chapter exactly as it appears in the book. The “Full Text” link takes you to an XML rendered page that has hyper linking to references in the book and enables you to add bookmarks, annotate the page, and email a link to a colleague (with a “My AE” personal account). The PDF link opens a PDF view of the chapter for those users who prefer working with PDFs.

  11. Sophisticated tools and personalization features allow content to be easily integrated into user workflow. Bookmark Text –users can quickly return to content of interest at a later date. Email to a friend – email content that may interest a colleague. Highlighting– allows users to highlight material of particular importance in up to four colors. Annotate –users can add their own personal notes and comments to the text.

  12. My AE –any time access to all of your online Annotations and Bookmarks! You can also modify your individual profile.

  13. My AE – All of your Annotations and Bookmarks – as well as user profiles –are accessible from the My AE screen. From there users can easily link directly to personalized content.

  14. Librarian Resource Center - valuable tips and tools for librarians. From theLibrarian Menuyou can update your profile, view subscription details, access usage data, download the current AccessEngineering title list, and access MARC records. Keep up-to-date with AccessEngineering Alerts and the McGraw-Hill library conference schedule.
