Let’s talk about: • Preparing for the interview: Do you consider how you are feeling physically can affect how your present yourself and are perceived in the interview? • What you can do to feel your best on the day of a job interview • How you can continue to put these healthy practices into place

  3. Preparing for the job interview • Review job description • Research organization and interviewers • Prepare S.O.A.R stories • Dress for success

  4. You Are What You Eat! • Have you ever thought about how what you have eaten prior to the interview can affect your performance?Do you feel energized and mentally alert by your food choices or sluggish and unable to concentrate? Write down what you have eaten in the last 24 hours.

  5. For the Basics of Healthy EatingChoose MyPlate • The MyPlate Model • ½ Plate= Non-Starchy Vegetables and Fruits • ¼ Plate= Grains, Starchy Vegetables • ¼ Plate= Lean Protein Sources • Side of Non-Fat or Low Fat Dairy • Water, Tea and Coffee • Limited Healthy Fats and occasional Sweets • Avoid the Five Food Felons: Trans Fats; Saturated Fats; Refined Flour; Added Sugars and Syrups

  10. How can you put these healthy practices into action to feel your best everyday? • Write down three things you will do today to prepare yourself to feel your best on your next interview and every day. • Commit this to another person and ask them to hold you accountable.
