Situation Klinik und Poliklinik für Diagnostische und Interventionelle Radiologie • Conventional film archives obsolete • Digital content resource for teaching and education in Radiology needed • Electronic systems for storage, retrieving, viewing of radiological images and teaching files are available • Existing e-learning platform has limited capabilities for display and organization of radiological images and cases • No interoperability between clinical workspace and e-learning platform

Purpose of this project Klinik und Poliklinik für Diagnostische und Interventionelle Radiologie • Step 1: Integration of clinical workspace with teaching file database to facilitate creation of e-learning content. • Step 2: Integration of teaching files with e-learning platform to merge synergistic functionality. • Assessment and evaluation of the integrated web application

Methods PACS-MIRC integration Implementation of the IHE TCE integration profile (Teaching file and clinical trial export): „Export Selector – A system that allows a user to select one or more instances, series or studies for export… „ TCE Selector: • Image display and selection in PACS client • DICOM send to TCE Selector • GUI to enter keywords and information • Anonymize / pseudonymize • Processing of DICOM instances and content • Generate additional teaching file information (ATFI) and TCE manifests • Send teaching cases with DICOM instances, TCE manifests and ATFI to MIRC for automated generation of teaching files Klinik und Poliklinik für Diagnostische und Interventionelle Radiologie
