If you understand the examples and practical application of the standards and best practices, the PMBOKⓇ Guide will no more be a dreaded book Then read each chapter and knowledge area in the PMBOKⓇ Guide. For every topic, think of a practical example from your project management experience or the trainer’s example. Write it down on the book itself. Note, this is the most important step. Use different colors to note your examples to help you relate easily. Remember, you do not need to memorize. You only need to be able to relate to every topic. Once you feel you are ready, solve a few questions on that knowledge area. Do not go to the next topic even in a given knowledge area unless you are sure you are conceptually clear about it.
