  4. Kamal Basti (Basadi)

  5. • These 10thcentury built temple was originally called as ‘Kamal Basadi’ now which is popularly known as Kamal Basti, temple has got its name ‘Kamal’ because of its lotus like structured dome, lotus is translated as ‘Kamal’ in Sanskrit. • The beautifully structured temple was built in the time of ‘Ratta Dynasty’. The dome of the temple is structured as lotus with 72 petals, all the petals are shown with the Jain Tirthankars. The idol of the temple is lord Neminath. Today the temple has become one of those few left monumental structures of Chalukya style.

  7. • The Belgaum is a well maintained fort in Belguam city, fort is subjected to many historical popular and unpopular, Mahatma Gandhi was imprisoned in these fort by the British government during freedom movement struggle • The fort was built in 12th century by Ratta Dynasty. The fort has been centre of attraction for many emperors because of its strategic importance and that is what has given many stories of capture and recapture to this fort. • There is an adjoining lake to this fort, known as the fort lake, which has a floating Cafeteria. There are two very important Jain temple in the fort and one Durga temple and one mosque.
