Advanced InterAct. Summarizing Selected Messages. A quick way of reading through multiple messages is to “summarize” them. This will make them appear as a list in a single message box so that you do not have to open and close each individually.

  2. Summarizing Selected Messages A quick way of reading through multiple messages is to “summarize” them. This will make them appear as a list in a single message box so that you do not have to open and close each individually. Open your mailbox or a conference containing multiple messages. Hold the “Control” key and click all the messages you want to read or click the first message, hold shift, and click the last message.

  3. Summarizing Selected Messages Click this icon to create a summary box of all those messages. The messages will all appear in list form in a single message box. Use the scroll bar to read through the messages.

  4. Address Books and Groups Click this icon to open your address book. If you don’t have one already, it will create one for you on your InterAct desktop. The address book will list the entries you have created in it. Notice it displays full internet addresses for those addresses that exist outside Interact.

  5. Address Books and Groups Click this icon to create a new entry in your address book. Enter any pertinent information you have for the contact or list on this page.

  6. Address Books and Groups These tabs can be used to enter additional information about your entries such as mailing addresses, phone numbers, and any personal notes you wish to add.

  7. Attachments A message in your mailbox with a “paper clip” icon next to it indicates an attachment. Open the message, and double-click the name of the attachment. You will see a download progress screen that alerts you when the download is finished. The computer will then try and view the attachment.

  8. Attachments To send an attachment, you just click the “Attach” icon on the new message window or drag and drop the file from another window in to the gray area around the From/Subject/To fields. Your attachment will then appear on the message

  9. Using the Calendar At the top of the calendar screen are four icons that you can use to view your calendar entries in different ways. This icon will display your calendar entries by week. This icon will take you to the current date This icon will display your calendar entries by month. This icon will display your calendar entries by day.

  10. Using the Calendar From your desktop screen, click this icon to create your calendar if you don’t have one or to open your calendar if you do. If you don’t have a calendar already, a calendar icon will appear on your desktop from now on.

  11. Using the Calendar This icon is used to schedule a new appointment or meeting on your calendar. Use these settings to set the start and end time for the event, description, duration, and location

  12. Using the Calendar Use these tabs to set participants, event details, and event repeat intervals

  13. Instant Message Click on Collaborate and then Instant Message to chat with others

  14. Instant Message A chat window will appear. Click the “Invite” button to invite people into your chat. Double-click the name of invitees to invite them.

  15. Instant Message Invitees will receive an “Invitation to Chat”. When they accept the invitation, a message will appear in your message chat box indicating that they have joined your chat.

  16. Instant Message Type your chat messages in the bottom box. Then click “send” or use the return key. The messages will then appear in the conversation box at the top right.

  17. Accessing InterAct Via the Web Open your web browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer) and enter “interact.ccsd.net” into the address bar. Then hit return. Click “LOGIN” on the screen that appears

  18. Accessing InterAct Via the Web The login page will come up After you have logged in, a page will appear that looks similar to the regular Interact view.
