Eddie Dovner has pursued entrepreneurship since the age of 24. Starting with a business that provided honor box snacks to local businesses, Eddie Dovner used the sale of that company to create Northeast Gourmet Coffee, one of the primary gourmet coffee roasters in the Northeast. With roasted and packed specialty blends, Eddie Dovner found customers in offices, supermarkets, and restaurants all over New England. After growing the company to be worth millions, Eddie Dovner sold it and established First Choice Armor & Equipment, Inc., a body armor distributor based out of Massachusetts. Today, Eddie Dovner focuses his business leadership skills on a portable fitness equipment company and Bike in the Air, his latest invention. With five pieces already in development, Eddie Dovner plans to sell his portable exercise equipment in 2011 through infomercials. Unlike other traveling fitness items, Eddie Dovner's equipment becomes a virtual gym that compresses to the size of a small suitcase. These machines allow users to perform a complete workout from anywhere. The patented Bike in the Air originated when Eddie Dovner wanted a better way to store his bicycles. He plans to launch his space-saving device in 2011. A resident of Florida, Eddie Dovner lives with his three sons and takes them skydiving and skiing, as well as to sporting events. Eddie Dovnerâs favorite books include Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer and Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom.
