  3. Standard Search To find a particular title, author, or subject, simply type your request in the search box. This will bring up a list of titles.

  4. Basic Title List To find more information on a particular book, just click on “details”. You can get information from Amazon by clicking that tab. Amazon may allow you to read portions of the book.

  5. Details Details include the summary, reviews, and searchable links marked in blue.

  6. The Opening Screen The opening screen also shows buttons that will take you into special sections and searches, such as class projects.

  7. Class Projects The Class Projects button will be updated as projects are assigned. This is a great button to check for any project.

  8. Advanced Search To begin a Boolean search, press Enhanced Search here.

  9. Finding AR Books, Points, and Levels To find AR books, simply press the AR tab.

  10. Finding AR Books, Points, and Levels The AR levels are not necessarily the student’s grade level. Each student should have a range assigned by the teacher. To see if a particular book is an AR book, use standard search and type in the title.

  11. Finding AR Books, Points, and Levels The reading level, “RL” is mentioned first. The number of AR points is mentioned after that. To get more information on any book, press “details”.

  12. Special Buttons on the Opening Screen The Virtual Reference Desk is a collection of Internet resources chosen just for NCS students. To view the elementary school collection, click here.
