The authenticity of information is one of the main issues in the modern era. With the rise of various social media platforms fake news has become quite usual. It is important to stay away from unauthenticated news as it may lead to chaos and confusion especially for the youth. Schools in Dehradun organize special events to spread awareness about fake news. In this digital age youngsters are more influenced by social media hence it is important to make sure that studentsu2019 donu2019t fall into the trap of fake news.

  1. Fake news virus: How to be safe? Social Media is a source of getting all information from all over the world sitting anywhere. It is the best conveyor of current updates. Knowing about new things happening in the world, new companies getting established, testimonies, transgressions, etc. the fake news of all is accessible through the internet.

  2. A load of news is updated in seconds. Every time we update our news apps whenever we see something interesting, crispy, and spicy. This type of desire of readers urges media to make a mountain out of a mole that indeed leads to fake news. And this is human nature that we like crispy news more than it’s the necessary form. The worldwide Covid-19 spread is a current example to get this point cleared.

  3. Covid-19 is a kind of virus which has caused the number of deaths. It has ruined many happy families and huge businesses. It has once ceased everyone’s life. We can say that it was a matter of discussion when it started. But now the issue is its end, how can we get rid of it. The solution to this question is a vaccination which has not yet made.   4. Famous Bollywood actor died in this period. Some say he did suicide; others claim it was murder, while few say it was planned, family, says he was in depression. But except family and other relatives and friends, no one else knows the truth.

  5. Corona affected people are less as compared to the given lists. Every person who has a fever and mild cough is tested and always shown under positive report. They are not looking into the matter thoroughly. Just want to create a curiosity for listeners or readers to get in touch with their respective channels.

  6. How can we be safe from such news?

  7. The first point to be safe is to look into the matter thoroughly. Never put all the eggs in one basket. Do try to get updates from different platforms which can give you trustworthy knowledge about the particular topic. • We quickly get to know about the fake news from its presentation. So don’t emphasise on that news which seems ugly and false.

  8. 3) Use those channels, apps which you are sure about, which have been in use since ages. 4) Explore on your behalf rather than being dependent on the news. Personal experience helps to gain more knowledge.

  9. Conclusion News is nowadays meant to be an entertainment medium. Politicians are playing games at higher levels along with criminals. They are not focusing on the allotted work. These days money is at its peak level. So be aware of fake news and keep yourself safe from Coronavirus as well as phoney news virus.
