  1. 4 Pitfalls to consider when managing multiple projects! Educationedge

  2. Managing numerous projects at the same time can feel like juggling. Every step performed in one project must flow smoothly and gracefully into the next, and when done correctly, a professional portfolio manager can make it seem effortless. However, if a few major errors are committed, everything comes crumbling down. Even if you plan ahead and have undergone the PMP training, it won't be simple. Managing many projects is a difficult task. When managing several projects, difficulties arise that resemble a shadow world of best practises.

  3. Poor Communication Communication can make or break a project. This is self-evident, but it bears repeating. If you can't effectively communicate what needs to be done to your team, you'll waste more time and money on jobs than is necessary. Stakeholders will interfere with project management if you are unable to communicate the status of the project to them.

  4. No Clear Roles & Responsibilities If your team doesn't know who does what, pandemonium occurs, just as it does with one project and even more so with several. Projects should be run like machines, with each team member doing their role as a gear that meshes together to propel the project forward. Things will quickly clog up if they don't understand their jobs and responsibilities.

  5. Bad Planning If you don't accomplish the work before the project plan is executed, you'll have to do it while the plan is being executed. That's a tragedy waiting to happen. Each project you manage must have a detailed project plan, and you must also have a strategy in place to manage all of the other projects at the same time. That's a lot of planning, but you shouldn't do it when you're spending money and time. Want to learn more tips on how to avoid pitfalls?
