  7. Driving forces: housing exposition 2001 and government support (250 million Skr) Strong incentives for developers and investors to perform exceptionally well

  8. The demonstration project • 24 hectares of land • 1300 apartments completed • Approximately 2 000 inhabitants • Mixed development

  9. Lots of small projects • 20 developers • Over 30 different architectural firms

  12. Energy production • Electricity from a wind power (and photovoltaics minor prod., 180 sq metres) • Heat from solar collectors and a heat pump (aquifer and sea water) • Cooling from heat pump and aquifer • (Bio gas – minor prod.)

  24. Vision! • A climate neutral city development (energy production, traffic and rising sea water levels) • Pursue the ambition to build attractive, exciting and surprising • More mixed use – an integrated knowledge city
