  1. SUMMER CAMP 2014Parent Information Meeting CAMP LA-NO-CHE JUNE 15th-20th

Forms • All forms are or will be available on our website, including this presentation (troop184fortgatlin.com/camping.html) • Release forms for PWC and ATV are on La-No-Che’s leaders guide pages 81-83. (Only needed for those scouts signed up for these classes) • Permission slip: troop website • Medical forms: troop website, need 2 copies (must be 2014 version, check lower right hand corner) • Medication form typed on PDF and then printed out, no hand written forms(on troop website) • Supplied medication in prescription bottles to be collected at the shakedown • Copy of insurance card: need 2 copies (front and back) • All above forms must be turned in no later then June 9th

Pre-Shakedown • May 19th • swim classification at 6pm at wade view pool • back up swim classification will be June 2nd • June 9th • all forms and releases must be turned in. • Summer camp packing list • on our website (click on links and then summer camp packing list). Soft bags only, no hard foot lockers. • Camp La-No-Che’s recommended packing listed is on pg. 73 of the leaders guide. • June 14th • shake down at 5:00 pm, must come packed for camp, get checked in and load the trailer with personal gear. • Personal gear will be transported by the troop in the troop trailer. • Parents will provide transportation for your scout to and from camp.

Summer Camp Schedule • June 15th: scouts will arrive at camp no later then 1:30 pm, in full class “A” uniform and meet up with the scoutmasters at gateway. • June 20th: parents will arrive at 8:30 pm, gather at dinning hall flag pole in center of camp. Then attend closing camp fire program and take their scout(s) home. • June 21st: 10:00am arrive at Delaney Street Baptist church to retrieve personal gear from troop trailer. (All left over gear will be burned)

  5. Summer Camp Rules • No electronics at camp (including cell phones) no exceptions. (We will collect them at the start of camp to be locked in troop trailer). • Troop 184, Central Florida Council or Camp La-No-Che, will not be held liable for lose, theft or damage to any electronics if brought to camp. • You may wish to send spending money for your scout to spend on snacks and souvenirs. Recommended amount is between $35.00 and $50.00. (send small bills $1s and $5s). A troop banker will be provided to help your scout manage his money. If this is your wish, put money in an envelope with the scouts name and the amount. (Also to be turned in at shake down)
