CTCN Chapter Updates • 2013 • 10 regular meetings on the fourth Wednesday of the month (usually). • Workshop, (joint with CAS/SSC, CEDA, TMC, COMSOC/SP, and WIE) in August. • Regular Officers meetings. • 2014 • Speakersbooked for first four regular meetings. • Workshop – contacted by Bob Krause, of AICN. Interested in co-sponsoring a workshop with us. Concerned about finding fresh topics. More discussion upcoming. Also looking for local chapter partner.

  5. CTCN Meetings Planned for 2014 * Gray, italicized, subject to change. ** Tentative – reschedule if workshop in May

SWOT Analysis • Strength – Good team work & network to recruit speakers. • Weakness – Recruiting potential new members for the leadership team. • Opportunity – Host joint events with other groups. • Threat – Staying relevant as local technical employment conditions improve and CTCN membership ages.

  7. Chapter Plans / Issues • Mix topics at monthly meetings to cover professional development, training, and technical topics. • Co-host workshop (if another chapter is interested). • Recruit younger members via workshop focus and speaker topic choices. • Fill Communications Manager opening. • Improve return rate for first time attendees.
