Creating a Canvas Account!

1. Creating a Canvas Account! Follow these simple directions to access the course materials for this year

2. Step 1: Check your school email • Open your web browser and check your school email account You should have an email like the one to the right. • Open that email and click on the “Click here to get started” link. This will direct you to the Canvas website.

3. Step 2: Setup the account • Once you are at the site, click on the “Accept Button.” • Then, click on “Create My Account.”

4. Almost there… Fill out the required information to create the account. Make sure you write this information down and keep it somewhere safe. Once you are finished, hit the register button.

5. Step 3: Edit User Settings You should be directed to a screen that looks like this. If not, make sure you let me know. Once here, click on your email address in the top right hand corner.

7. Step 3: Edit User Settings On the left hand side of the screen, click on settings. Then, click on the edit settings button.

8. Step 3: Edit User Settings Make sure you change the following to…. Your full name Last name only (Make sure there is not a comma after it) Click once done

10. Step 3: Edit User Settings Click on the canvas button in the top left corner of the screen to go back to the main page. You should now have full access to the course and all of the features that go with it. If you are unsure of anything, please ask for clarification.
