  2. ij.start.canon GUIDELINES FOR CANON PRINTER SETUP AND INSTALLATION. Cable less Setup Method (Mac) Before you start please download the installation software. 1. Once downloaded, go to the location of the file and double click it. 2. When the canon.com ijsetup screen is displayed, click [Open]. 3. When the initial screen appears, click on [Next]. 4. You may be asked to type in your password to continue with the installation. Type in your password.

  3. 5. Click [Next]. 6. Select [ij.start.canon] as a connection method and then click [Next]. 7. Select [Access Point Connection (recommended)] as the wireless LAN connection method then click [Next] 8. Ensure that your printer is turned on and the green power lamp is lit and then click [Next]. 9. The software will now briefly search your network for any printers already connected. Please ensure that [Setting printer could not be found on the list] is selected, then click canon com ijsetup [Next]. 10. If the following screen appears, select [Open]. 11. Click on [Next].

  4. 12. Click on [Cable less setup]. 13. When the following screen appears, hold down the [Wi-Fi ] button A on the printer until the orange alarm lamp flashes 2 times and release after the second flash, and then click [Next]. 14. Make sure that the blue Wi-Fi lamp flashes quickly and the green power lamp is lit, and then click on [Next]. 15. The following message will be displayed: 16. When the following message is displayed, click on [Allow]. 17. Once the connection to the access point is completed click [Next]. 18. When the following screen appears, select your region, and then click on [Next].
