  2. The Golden Triangle • Brazil has developed unevenly. In the south east of the country two thirds of the population live and most of the wealth is located. The three cities Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are known as the Golden Triangle much like the industrial triangle we saw in Italy. • Schemes like the relocation of the capital and the Grand Carajas scheme are designed to spread the population and wealth around the country.
