  2. Equipment damage • Trees get injured a lot by loggers • Sometimes its from carelessness and incorrect use of the equipment.

  3. Heavy Equipment • Big machines easily destroy roots of trees • Usually involves digging ground up and it can hurt the soil and if you put it over roots of a tree or anything else it could kill it and it could make that soil very poor and not healthy anymore.

  4. Life Cycle Happens all throughout the year Loggers Snow plows Light equipment that is used all throughout the year

  5. Mechanical damage A generalized term to describe damage to vegetation from using equipment and from weather related events. Weed whackers and lawnmowers are big things that injure trees. Most injuries are close to the ground where insects and disease causing agents are able to get in easily.

  6. Preventing damage Try not to grow grass by the bottom of trees so that you don’t run in to them. Avoid heavy equipment near roots of trees. Clean up after you trim branches so that diseases and insects can’t carrying on into the tree.
