  1. “AVGI”, Sunday, 23/1/2005 MASTER CLASSES in GREECE Universities involved: Athens University (9/3) NRC Demokritos (7/3) National Technical University (9/3) Thessaloniki University (10/3) Ioannina University (7/3)

Athens organisation (Athens Univ., Demokritos, NTUA) With the help of Ms Tsitopoulou (Physicist, High School teacher, head of Centre of Physical Sciences), all high schools in Athens were informed by an official (Ministry of Education) letter. We were asking for 5 students (volunteers) from the last Lyceum class. We could “handle” 220 (60+40+120) students. We got >600 applications. We proceeded with a draw (taking care for homogeneous distribution in the Athens region). We had three meetings preparing the event in the three Institutes.

  3. Athens University 60 students C. Kourkoumelis (Ex) and D. Fassouliotis (Ex) Lectures given in an amphitheatre by two experimentalists, members of the Department During research, supervision by 4 (+ 3 postgraduate students). The students handled 500 events. Financial support from the University (coffee + lunch + Tshirt +“diploma”)

  4. NRC Demokritos 40 students D. Loukas (Ex) Lectures given by a theorist and 3 experimentalists. Lectures + research in the PC Lab. During research, supervision by 3 (+ 3 postgraduate students). The students handled 1000 events. Financial support from the Centre (coffee + lunch + “diploma”)

  5. National Technical Univ. 120 students N. Tracas (Th) Lectures given by 1 theorist and 3 experimentalists. Lectures + research in the PC Lab. Special lectures for the accompanying teachers by 2 theorists and 2 experimentalists. During research, supervision by 4 (+ 6 postgraduate students). The students handled 1000 events in 10 groups. Financial support from the University (coffee + lunch + “diploma”)

  6. Thessaloniki Univ. 28 students N. Vlachos (Th) The students/schools were selected. All lectures given by 2 theorist. Lectures + research in the PC Lab. During research, supervision by 2 (+ 1 postgraduate students). The students handled 500 events (in 10 groups). Financial support from the University (coffee + lunch + “diploma”)
