How did the design of this structure and its surrounding complex function symbolically? • Identify this work as fully as possible. Discuss how this work expresses esteemed rank and status within the culture that produced it. • The 3 principle periods of Egyptian art are the Old Kingdom, the Middle Kingdom and the New Kingdom. Identify which period this belongs to and explain why.
