  2. Firstly, I’ll make a survey.I’ll ask some questions. Can you imagine living in a world without electricity? Can you imagine a world without modern medicine? Can you imagine that……

  3. In our daily life, we can’t enjoy comfortable lives without the help of science and technology. With it, we can keep the remains in the fridge instead of troubling it, we can do our homework under the lights instead of doing it in the daytime, we can take medicine when we catch a cold and so on.

  4. I think TV stations need to provide more science programs and explain why they could do that, or how does it work. Because what we have learnt in school is the minority of the whole scientific world. Besides, television has more audiences than newspapers and magazines. If we show the basic science framework on TV, a large proportion of the population can know something that they have never heard. So I think providing more science programs and telling the principle to audiences is very important. Chen Xi

  5. It’s sure that no one can prevent further developments of science. But how to use the advanced technology is a problem that we must face to. It’s no doubt that the technique makes our life more comfortable, more convenient and so on. On the other hand, we are living in danger. The harm of advanced technology, for example the nuclear weapons can kill us every time. So people should make good use of the technique. Don’t use it as a killer. Using it in a right direction, our life will become better and better. Li Anlang

In my opinion, the development of science is so rapid that the public can’t keep up with the step of scientific development, such as the mobile phone, which is sifted out after other new made out a few months later. There are too many things like it. It’s too difficult for public to understand why the scientific development is so fast. So we public should learn science to not to be out of date. All in all, the public should have the basic knowledge of the science. Zhang Jichao

  7. In our society, today, technology is developing rapidly. We accept that we can not prevent science and technology from changing our world, but we can try our best to ensure that the changes we make are in the right directions at least. Technology makes our living standard rise, and we also can make use of science and technology to change the destroyed environment to be better. In my feeling, the science is great. We should make up our mind to develop it. Li Zheng

  8. Science has changed our life a lot, bringing benefits and convenience to us. For example, computers have provided us with the comfort and faster working. We depend on the science and modern technology so that we can enjoy comfortable life today. However, science also brings about some problems. So many people want to slow down the steps of progress. Like Hawking said: One couldn’t put the clock back to an earlier age. So the best we can do is to make informed decisions as to the direction in which technology is to develop. Zhang Hao

  9. As one of the public, I learn that the world we live in has changed a great deal in many ways, from the elders, the books, the TV, and the Internet. Even the ways of getting this news have changed from people to computer. We have to face the reality which is difficult for us to leave science, and most of the time we are enjoying the convenience and comfort by the progress of technology. But there are still someone who’s afraid of some serious problem, such as the environment pollution, and the high technological war. So they do their best to prevent science form changing our world in order to have a safe and comfortable life.

  10. But natural calamity and illness can also bring perdition without the aid of science. It’s obvious that inconvenience will bring trouble and comfortlessness. So it’s better to try to ensure that the changes they make are in the right directions rather than prevent it. It can bring comfort to human being, and avoid the disaster from human and nature. In fact, we can have a better life with the help of science. Zhangjiawei
