Challenges for Stockholm • Population growth – interplay of diverse interest • A stronger region increases Stockholm´s attractiveness • Increasing importance of environment and climate issues • Socio-economic differences Meeting challenges requires a holistic perspective and balancing diverse interests and goals www.stockholm.se/oversiktsplan

(1) Strengthen central Stockholm • Renew the CBD and other strategic inner city nodes • Complete the development of the strategic development areas • Create a modern science city in a unique environment • Develop well connected and dense urban environments in the inner suburbs …and take advantage of the attracitivity of the dense city and its potential for sustainable mobility www.stockholm.se/oversiktsplan
