  7. Policies for Military Transfer Credit • Does your college or university have a formal policy? • Determine who will evaluate the JST • Determine a uniform process • Address credit for both training and occupation • Involve the veteran in the review process

Communicating Review Decisions • Record transfer credit in transfer database • If academic programs have specific acceptance policies, make sure the information is available • When possible, note reasons for denied transfer credit for records • Eliminates duplication of credit review • Provides veteran with rationale for denied transfer credit
