  4. Introducing the new bridge (“bootcamp”) course: Packaging Materials, Processes and Applications The rationale for the course is to provide students with an opportunity to become acquainted with the essentials of packaging science as an entrance strategy into the graduate program or to complement another discipline of study. The goal is to prepare students to join the existing graduate cohort in packaging science on equal footing with those who have adequate preparation. For students in other programs the goal is to establish a suitable baseline of information which will benefit them in their chosen plan of study. This course will be team taught and focus on flexible and rigid container systems.

  5. Plan of Study (POS) conversion worksheet Students in the program prior to 2013-14 have to earn 32 semester equivalent credits Students starting the program in 2013-14 will earn 36 semester credits

  6. What lies ahead? Online in 2014 - The goal is to be the “go to” distance learning program for graduate packaging science; to be set apart from any others - To be determined - one track (online only ) or two (online and on campus)? The future plan: Why not start this fall as was originally planned? We need to take a year and become accustomed to the semester system, identify the best strategy for implementation, revisit courses for online readiness, identify the instructors, and identify the resources needed for the best preparation for online delivery
