  2. 3rd Annual Transnational AsiaGraduate Student ConferenceFebruary 11-12, 2012 Call for Papers! All fields welcome! This two-day conference explores the phenomena that accompany the movement of individuals, peoples, ideas, practices, and goods across the borders and boundaries of Asia and beyond. The conference utilizes a cross-disciplinary approach to explore the processes and effects of transnationalism within contemporary and historical periods. Last year fields represented included English, anthropology, linguistics, sociology, history, gender studies, and more… Participating schools included: University of Toronto, Michigan, Waseda(Tokyo), Columbia, Harvard, Clark, U of San Francisco, and more.
