  3. A pheasant is a type of bird. A pheasant is a cute bird with colorful feathers on its head. It has rainbow feathers and a long straight tail. The female bird isn’t colorful like the male.

  4. Their wingspan is 22 to 34 inches. It weighs 300 to 500 grams and 20 to 28 inches long.

  5. Baby Pheasants are called poults. They lay 8 to 10 eggs, but only one at a time.

  6. Its habitat is farmlands, pastures, and grassy woodland edges. The nests are hidden in tall grasses.

  7. It eats grain, insects, seeds, and fruit. Its predators are wolves, coyotes, dogs, and humans. It flies away to stay away from predators. We like this animal because it is unique, very colorful , and a popular game bird.
