  2. Do you feel content living on campus? • Out of 21 people that answered the question • 11 (52.38%) answered yes • 4 (19.05%) answered no • 6 (28.57%) answered they felt indifferent • Students are primarily happy about living on campus, which means this is a good environment to live in.

  3. How do you feel about the roommates you were assigned or chose? • of the 20 people that answered • 4 (20%) stated they were happy • 4(20%) stated they felt alright • 3(15%) stated they felt indifferent • 6(30%) stated they felt upset • 3(15%) stated they felt unhappy • 45% of the students are unhappy with their roommate with is a majority between negative, neutral, and positive answered. • This is the only question that received a skip which supports of it is hard for some roommates to admit their feelings about their roommates.

How strongly do you feel policy is enforced in your dorm? • Out of the 21 that answered • 0 answered too strict • 1 (4.76%) answered strongly • 10(47.62%) answered moderate • 3(14.29%) answered lightly • 8(38.10%) answered poorly • More than half of the students answered with a negative answer which might say something about the people enforcing these rules.

Do you feel that your dorm’s R.A.s or supervisors are adequately do their job? • Out of the 21 students who answered • 10(47.62&) said yes • 11(52.38) said no • The majority of the students fell unsatisfied with the R.A.s performance which can contribute to them not going to them for problems with roommates.

How Bothered are you by your neighbors in your dorm hall? • Out of the 21 students who answered • 8(38.10%) answered not bothered • 6(28.57%) answered mildly bothered • 2(9.52%) answered indifferent • 4(19.05%) answered bothered • 1(4.76%) answered extremely bothered • The majority answered in a positive way which might mean that the discomfort from living on campus is not greatly attributed to the neighbors but more of the roommates.

  7. Do you feel that most people in your dorm hall obey the noise policy? • Out of the 21 students that answered • 9(42.86%) said yes • 12(57.14%) said no • Noise in not always followed but it does not cause to many problems between neighbors.

  8. How would you feel if your roommate constantly invited people your are not acquainted with? • Out of the 21 students that answered • 1(4.76%) answered extremely uncomfortable • 10(47.62%) answered uncomfortable • 9(42.86%) answered indifferent • 2(9.52%) answered comfortable • Half of the students were not bothered by visitors so maybe that’s a precursor to why roommates don’t suffer problems at first but once they are no longer considered visitors and people are more comfortable that’s when the problemsstart

Are you ever frustrated if you and your roommates sleeping schedule conflict? • Out of the 21 students who answered • 9(42.86%) answered yes • 13(61.90%) answered no • A huge portion of the students would be frustrated with conflicting sleeping patterns but they signed a contract stating when lights and sound were suppose to be off. This may stated that students don’t respect the roommate contract.

  10. Do you feel like the upkeep of the dorm halls is adequate? • Out of the 21 that answered • 17(80.95%) answered yes • 4(19.05%) answered no • The majority of the students are content with the upkeep to the hall so maintenance must not be an issue in the dorms

Are you content with the policy that in enforced at your dorm hall? • Out of the 21 students who answered • 13(61.90%) answered yes • 9(38.10%) answered no • Students are mostly content with the policy but still problems occur with their roommates maybe there is flaws with only certain parts of the policy?

  12. Overall thoughts on our findings • I discovered that people are mostly happy with the policy and the maintenance of the dorm halls. Yet they still have some conflicts with roommates. The policy might have a gap with the roommate policy or the R.A.s are not enforcing the roommate policy well enough. These students should be able to have a way of settling problems with their roommates that is set in the policys.
