  4. OBJECTIVES Speaking • In the end of the lesson, you should be able to use expressions to ask for and to give something. Reading • In the end of the lesson, you should be able to understand the text about an activity in the past.

  5. MATERIAL Useful Expressions These are some useful expressions to asking someone : • Asking someone to give you things. • Can you give me…? • Could you give … to me? • Can you give me …? • …, please? • Offering help • Can I help you? • Anything else?

  6. Speaking MaterialAct as if you ask your friend to do something. Practice these dialogues Act 1 Andi : Could I have a bottle of ketchup and two a boxes of milk, please? Diah: Ketchup and milk. Sure here it is. Act 2 Amir : Could I have a tube of toothpaste and three bars of soap, please ? Lorenzo : Certainly. Here they are. Act 3 Danny : Can you give me a spoonful of sugar, pleas? We bought many things there. I had a trolley and my mummy had another for the things we bought. I got two tubes of toothpaste, two bags of detergent, three bars of soap, and three rolls of tissue. From the dairy corner, I got two packs of cheese and two boxes of milk. We then went to the food corner. I took loaves of cake and several cans of coke. My mummy got some slices of bread. We got a lot of things from the supermarket.
