Maharashtra Seamless Limited Key Highlights on Financial Results for the Q3 Ended 31-12-2010 • Net Sales & Income from operations in Q3 FY11 increased by 9.5 % in comparison to Q3 FY10 due to increase in selling price. • Seamless Pipe: EBIDTA Margin/MT increased from Rs.16,443/- to Rs.19,174/-. This is mainly on account of improvement in sales realization & lower inventory cost. • ERW Pipe: EBIDTA Margin/MT decreased from Rs.5,855/- to Rs.4,322/- as most of sales made are in local market & through dealer network. • The company witnesses an increase in Net Profit by 4.9% over the previous Q3 FY10 mainly on account of better sales realization & low inventory cost. • Other income mainly includes income from on sale of non trade investments. 4

Maharashtra Seamless Limited Major Developments / Achievements during the Quarter • The project implementation work for imported 6” Seamless Plant located at Vile-Bhagad Industrial Area, Near Mangaon, which is 35 Kms away from existing Nagothane Site, is progressing as per schedule. • The Investments, Inter Company Deposits, Loans & FDs etc. as on date is of Rs.508 Crores (implying Rs.72/- Cash Per Share) • Book Value Per Share as on 31st December 2010 is Rs.356/-. • No Lien / Pledge by MSL on any of its existing share investments. • No Lien / Pledge by Promoters on any of its MSL Shares held. • Promoters’ Stake in the Company is 54.69 % as on 31st December 2010. 13

  14. Maharashtra Seamless Limited Market Background & Current Outlook • Global Crude price are on the rise and are expected to remain high. This is expected to lead to increased activities in E&P, which will raise the demand for Seamless Pipes & Tubes. • We are intensifying our marketing activities in our major Export market of USA, We are planning to enter the Canadian & Latin American markets to increase export sales . • Domestic Oil companies are moving on with their ongoing projects including Exploration & Production activities. Two new Oil Refineries are under construction and most of the old refineries are under capacity expansion. Power sector is also going strong. • Anti dumping on Seamless Pipe effected in USA & Europe against China is having positive impact for demand of Seamless Pipes & Tubes of the Company. • The company is now putting up intensive and aggressive marketing approach by penetrating the domestic markets as well. Investment in refining, pipe lines & power sector is expected to increase this would lead to increase in demand of Seamless Pipes & Tubes. 14
