  3. Transfer Student Admission Requirements • 2.0 Cumulative Transfer GPA With 30 or more transferable hours • If less than 30 hours, high school GPA and ACT or SAT test scores considered in admission Conditional admission also available! See a UW Admissions staff member for details.

  4. The Admissions Process When? The sooner, the better to ensure a fair chance at resources and options available What? • Application and $40 application fee • Official transcripts from all institutions attended since high school • Possibly submit ACT/SAT scores and high school transcripts if completed less than 30 credits

The Credit Evaluation Process • Complete the Admissions Process • Transcripts forwarded to Credentials Analysts where initial credit assigned • Same process after receipt of final transcripts • Wyoming community college articulation agreements • Transfer credit booklet for Wyoming community colleges

  8. Wyoming ResidentTransfer Scholarships • Hathaway Benefits Continued • John W Hoyt Scholarship • Provides $1,000 annually for 2 years • Requires 3.4 + cumulative GPA and an Associates Degree from a Wyoming Community College

Transfer Scholarships For All Merit and Talent Scholarships • Awarded through many UW departments for Honors, Music, Theater, Academic programs, Athletics, etc. Alumni Association Scholarships • Awarded to children of Alums Children of UW Alumni Non Resident Discount • Provides tuition at 150% in state tuition or nonresident children of alumni Phi Theta Kappa • Provides $500 for first semester of attendance. Awarded to verified PTK members .

Applying for Financial Aid • Apply for Admission • Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) • March 1st: “priority deadline” for financial aid and many scholarships (see wyo.edu/scholarships) • Award notices delivered to students via their WyoWeb account –around March 15th

Enrollment Process / Timeline • Application for admission (early Fall) • Scholarship search at www.uwyo.edu/scholarships and www.fastweb.com, and through local organizations (early Fall – early Spring) • FAFSA (Jan. 1 – Feb. 15) at www.fafsa.ed.gov, award notices via WyoWeb around March 1 • Confirm / Pay enrollment deposit (By May 1) • - fully refundable if requested prior to May 1

Enrollment Process / Timeline • Complete RLDS room and board, and FIG paperwork (must confirm enrollment first) • Submit proof of MMR immunizations (prior to May 1) • Register for Orientation (prior to May 1) • Complete Math Placement Exam online, if ACT Math not at desired level (April or May, prior to Orientation) • Submit final transcripts, test scores, etc. (June)
