  3. Objectives • Evaluate accrediting organizations standards and ISO 9000 requirements for document management. • Discuss the use of TIU personal templates. • Review the process for creating templates.

  4. Template Review Committee Review and approve Template prior to use in the EHR. Ensure accrediting organizations requirements are met i.e. Operative Report and TJC Multidisciplinary committee i.e. Nursing, Providers, HIM, BO, UR, PI/QI, etc.

  5. Shared and Personal Templates • Shared templates can be accessed by all EHR users • Personal templates • created by individuals • accessed by individuals • can be “turned off” for all EHR users if they become a compliance problem

  6. Template Creation Templates are created in EHR Template content should: follow proper documentation be approved by review committee
