  2. What I want to do today • Tell you what we talked about at the November Executive meeting. • Tell you what the Executive decided. • Tell you what the Executive has asked people to do.

  3. What we talked about at the November Executive meeting • We checked the actions from the Executive meeting in September

  4. All the actions have been done. • The big meeting to talk about finance was cancelled. This will be on the agenda for the January meeting.

  5. What we talked about at the November Executive meeting • Adult Charging

  6. David Laws gave a presentation on this • The Executive had a lot of questions • A copy of David’s presentation will be put on the website

  7. What the Executive Decided • Invite someone from The Putting People First Team to talk with the Executive about making information easy for people to understand • Members of the Executive will help to put together simple information sheets

  8. What we talked about at the November Executive meeting • Budget Position • David Roy came to the meeting to report on spending for 2010/11.

  9. David explained where the money is being spent • He told the Executive about the work that is happening to bring spending back in line with the budget

  10. What we talked about at the November Executive meeting • The Comprehensive Spending Review 2010

  11. Richard Collins gave a presentation on this • The Executive talked about the Government cuts and how this will impact on the amount of money that Local Authorities will have to spend

  12. We will have more details about what this means for learning disabilities by the time we meet in January

  13. What we talked about at the November Executive meeting • Liberating the NHS This is the Department of Health paper about changes to how health services will be organised in England

  14. Richard Eccles gave a presentation on this • He talked about what it will mean for the services you use • He talked about what it will mean for the way services are planned and paid for

  18. The Executive have asked for information about the operational staff consultation • Action: Nigel Sheridan to be invited to discuss this at the January 2011 meeting
