Turtles Going Extinct

The plight of turtles is dire, with thoughtless actions threatening their existence. During a visit to Hawaii, I witnessed the incredible journey of Green Sea Turtles, exhausted after swimming 5000 miles from Indonesia. These majestic creatures struggle to survive, yet their eggs are at risk from greedy individuals seeking profit. We must act now to protect these defenseless beings from extinction. Join in the fight by supporting current protection petitions. Together, we can make a difference for the future of turtles.

Editor’s Comment on Why this Piece was Chosen One of the reasons I loved to share this story in this format is that when my wife and I were visiting our son in Hawaii, we were so excited when a group of the famous Green Sea Turtles came ashore with great fatigue. We were told that the turtles just beached after almost 5000 miles of swimming there from Indonesia and the deep waters of the Southern Pacific ocean. They were so huge and heavy out of the water that they could hardly make it to shore. Once ashore their eyes were so tired they just fell asleep. To think that people are so willing to steal and gather their eggs is surely reason to believe they will be extinct very soon if they are denied portection of being annihilated for a profit. Please pass this on and if moved as I was…get behind the protection petitions that are currently being circulated….thanks..jackg
