  1. National Aeronautics and Space Administration The HSeg Software Update James C. Tilton Code 606.3 Computational & Information Sciences and Technology Office NASA Goddard Space Flight Center August 21, 2014 update www.nasa.gov

  2. Utilizing HSeg in the GFSAD30 Project At least three possibilities: • Use RHSeg/HSeg together with HSegLearn to perform computer assisted photointerpretation of high resolution imagery data (< 5m) to develop ground reference data. • Develop post-processing analysis approaches for Landsat TM data for automated classification – start with previous work by Panshi Wang of U of MD for LCLUC project for urban mapping. • Develop post-processing analysis approached for high resolution imagery data (<5m) for automated classification – this would be new work. 3. Obtaining High Resolution Imagery Data from NGA Go to https://warp.nga.mil/ You will most likely get a web page warning you about this website’s security certificate. You can safely ignore this warning and continue to the website. Click on “Register with WARP” in left column of this web page. You will need to have a uGov.gov domain e-mail address to successfully fill out and submit the registration form. Jun Xiong received his account about 8 hours after he submitted his registration form. GFSAD30 Telecon 3

  4. Obtaining High Resolution Imagery Data from NGA *** WARP Retirement Notice *** On June 2, 2014 the WARP GUI was disabled for most users on the UNCLASS domain. WARP users will need to migrate to Net Centric GEOINT Discovery Services (NGDS). Please access the following Intellipedia, Computer Based Training (CBT) or information pages about NGDS: https://intellipedia.intelink.gov/wiki/NGDS (In order to access Intellipedia you will need an active Intelink account) https://osis.nga.mil/td/cbt/ngds (CBT) https://ngds-web.compusult.net (information page) NGDS can be access at the following URL: https://ngds.nga.mil For disadvantaged users, NGDS lite has been created and it can be accessed at the following URL: https://ngds.nga.mil/wes/Lite/WESLite/jspPIV Card Users - please register for access to NGDS by going to either the GEOAxIS site https://geoaxis.nga.mil or NGDS https:ngds.nga.mil) and click on the PIV/ECA Certificate link to login. 5. Obtaining High Resolution Imagery Data from NGA * If the login (via PIV card) is successful to either page, the GEOAxIS system should present you with a brief registration form; Complete this form (name, organization, email, etc) and then call in to the NGA ESC Help Desk (1-800-455-0899) and request a ticket be opened up using the "NGDS Support Request" form and have the ESC technician put the following in the notes of the ticket - "User successfully registered their PIV card with GEOAxIS and is now waiting for NGA approval". Once NGA establishes an approval process you will be notified. * If the login (via PIV card) fails (message usually states "An error occurred while processing your certificate. Please make sure you have loaded your certificates into your browser and try again.") please contact your local system administrator to ensure your PIV certificates are installed properly with your web browser and then if it continues to fail, call in to the NGA ESC Help Desk (1-800-455-0899) and request a ticket be opened up with the GEOAxIS support team and put the following in the notes of the ticket - "User unable to successfully register their PIV card with GEOAxIS, assistance needed".
