  6. Classroom Rules • No cell phones in class • No food or drink in class • Be respectful to the teacher and fellow classmates • Wait to be dismissed by the teacher and not the bell • Be in class when the tardy bell rings

  8. Entering the Classroom • Walk orderly into the room prior to the tardy bell • Sit are your assigned desk • Listen attentively to the announcements • Stand for the Pledge of Allegiance • Sit quietly for the Moment of Silence • Work on your bell ringer activity

  9. During Class • Listen and follow teacher directions

  10. Leaving Class During Instruction • Obtain permission from teacher or office • Receive a pass unless checking out • Leave and re-enter the room with minimal distractions • Move expediently to and from your destination

  11. Leaving Class at the End of Instruction • Listen for exiting instructions • Wait for dismissal from your teacher • Leave in an orderly manner

  12. Turning in Homework • Pass homework to the back of your row • Last person in each row will put homework in tray for your class • Class – trays • Top: 1A • 2nd from top: 1B • 2nd from bottom: 2nd • Bottom: 3rd

  13. Bathroom • Only allowed to go the bathroom for the first and last 15 minutes of class • Only one person can leave to go to the bathroom at a time • If gone too long will lose bathroom privileges for the week

  14. Tardy Procedures • If not in the classroom when the bell rings then considered tardy • 4th tardy – office referral • 6th tardy – office referral • 8th tardy – office referral

  15. Classroom Consequences(minor violations) • 1st Offense – Warning • 2nd Offense – After school detention (extra work)/Call Home • 3rd Offense – Office Referral

  16. Minor Violations • Talking • Out of desk without permission • Sleeping • Tardies to class (1-3) • Inappropriate dress • Minor disturbances • Not prepared for class • Not on task

  17. Major Violations • Automatic Office Referral • Cursing • Fighting • Leaving Class without permission • Cell Phone Abuse • Throwing objects in class • Disrespectful talk to school personnel

  18. Typical Day • Enter class and sit in assigned seat • Work bell ringer activity • Complete and review homework assignment from previous day • Discuss learning objective for the day • Begin homework assignment from the objective of the day
