  1. BLUE STAR VFD DRIVEN CENTRIFUGAL CHILLER

  2. Capacity range from 90TR to 300TR. Available from Sept.2010 • 4 Models 90, 150, 180 & 300TR. • More than 300TR Model after Sept.2011. • Energy saving achieved up to 30% at part load. • Ultra quiet compressor, No need of Acoustic Jacket or Enclosure. • Lesser starting current hence lesser generator size, smaller Electrical Isolator (MCCB, SFU) • Lesser foot print compared to conventional chillers. • Lower installation cost. • User friendly touch screen controller to monitor. • Flooded coolers for enhanced efficiency. • Use less space & Light Weight than conventional chillers. Features / Benefits

  3. Turbocor Compressor Twin Turbine Centrifugal Compressor. Totally Oil Free Integrated Variable Speed Drive Magnetic Bearing Onboard Digital Electronics

  4. 2 stage, direct drive, hermetic centrifugal compressor Inverter speed control Permanent magnet motor Inlet Guide Vanes Motor and bearing control Turbocor Compressor Parts Soft Start (<2 Amp Inrush)

  5. Why a Variable Speed Drive? • The Compressor’s speed adjusts automatically to match the load and operating conditions for maximum efficiency. • The slower the compressor’s speed, the greater the energy savings. Power (Speed)3

  6. Provide totally oil free operation • Rotor shaft and impellers levitate during rotation and float on magnetic cushion • The magnetic bearings have 500 times less friction loss that conventional bearings Uses 0.5% of the energy required for conventional bearings for same service. • Eliminate the ability of oil to contaminate the refrigerant (key to sustainability) • Eliminate cost of oil management systems (hardware and controls) • Increases equipment life through elimination of wear surfaces • Due to absence of Oil, eliminates oil circulation, Separation & cooling problems as compared to conventional System. Magnetic Bearings

  7. Magnetic Bearing System Magnetic bearings and sensors keep the shaft properly centered and positioned at all times.

  8. Motor Cooling Arrangement

  9. 2-Stage Centrifugal Compressor

  10. Only 132 kg in weight • Less than 20% of the weight of competitive compressors Easy To Handle Compressor TT400 Equivalent Capacity Conventional Screw

  11. Controller Features • User Friendly animated touch screen display • Turbocor monitoring software, with continuous live monitoring of shaft position, operating envelope and compressor status • Dynamic Data Saving of Last 2 month readings in controller memory • Saving of last 100 alarms in controller memory • Manual mode operation Protected by password • Various levels of password • Running log of chiller • Extendable data logging facility • Remote monitoring compatibility of controller.

  12. Controller Features • Animated view of controller

  13. INTEGRATED PART LOAD PERFORMANCE (IPLV) • A method of measuring total chiller performance over a defined range of part load conditions. • As Per ARI 550/590-2003 • IPLV = 1/[(0.01/A) + (0.42/B) + (0.45/C) + (0.12/D)] • Where : • A = kW/ton at 100% load point • B = kW/ton at 75% load point • C = kW/ton at 50% load point • D= kW/ton at 25% load point • 99% of Weightage to 75% & Below Loads. • Where Turbocor Compressor is Most Efficient than any other Compressor. ARI Standard 550/590

  14. Turbocor vs. Screw Performance ComparisonFlooded Evaporator and W/C Condenser
