Roger Arliner YoungBy Adam Roger was an African American woman zoologist. She made many discoveries in the marine biology field.
Personnel information • Roger was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia 1899 and died in New Orleans, November 9th 1964. • She was oppressed by racial and sexist comments in her life. • Eventually she broke the barriers of her oppression and accomplished her dream of being a zoologist. • Around the time when she died she had mental issues and was sent to a mental asylum. • Never married but had a supposed attraction to Mr.Just.
