  2. RYLA Rotary Youth Leadership Awards –RYLA: A Rotary program designed to help clubs and districts develop leadership skills in their youth .

  3. RYLA Program Objectives • Demonstrate Rotary’s respect and concern for youth • Encourage and Assist young people in responsible and effective voluntary leadership by providing them with a valuable training experience • Foster continued and stronger leadership of youth by youth

  4. District 7360 RYLA RYLA is a four day event that PROVIDES high school sophomores and juniors OPPORTUNITIES to discuss leadership skills AND apply them by participating in activities, classes, and projects while making new FRIENDS and having the best time FOREVER.

  5. RYLA 2019 District 7360 Where: Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA When:Sunday, June 23th, Check-In 3:00 PM through Wednesday, June 26st, 1:30 PM What:Experiences, Information, Fun, and Friends Who:High School Sophomores and Juniors

  6. The Lessons • Leadership • Communication • Teambuilding • Confidence and Self Esteem • Service to the Community

  7. The Experience • Getting to Know You • Challenging Activities • Community Goodwill • Business Competition • Teambuilding

  8. The Fun • Meeting New Friends • Free Time • Dancing the Night Away • And yes, Problem Solving

  9. The Friends As you grow and discover more about yourself and others…. Bonds are formed for a lifetime

Do YOU Have what it Takes? • Do you consider yourself to be leadership material? • Have you held or ever wanted to hold a leadership position in your school or community? • Have you ever been involved with community service? • Do you have a good academic record? • Are you willing to embrace the philosophy of the workshop and be prepared to engage in the activities wholeheartedly?

How to Get Started • Receive Permission from your parent(s) or guardian(s) toattendthe academy • Complete the RYLA Application • Return your Application to your local Rotary RYLA Contact • Prepare for the interview by learning more about Rotary International - and then ACE the interview • Complete the RYLA Registration form you receive and return it in a timely manner • Attend a Meeting with your Sponsoring Club before RYLA • Read the informational Letter about attending the academy - like what to bring and how to get there! • Contact us with any Questions you have!
