  10. Make good use of your CV’s prime real estate! The first two pages are especially important – they should catch the reader’s eye Ok, 740 applications to go… Hiring Committee members may glance at your CV for 20-30 seconds – that’s when you have to make an impression
  11. CV Checklist Does it focus on accomplishments and credentials? Does it have an easy-to-read format? (enough white space, clear transition between sections) Did you and at least one other person proofread your CV? (no typos?) Are you using results-oriented bullets for your experience? (action verbs!) Are the chronological parts in the right order? Would a non-expert understand what you are doing?
